INDIA'S BHARTI TO USE ORACLE SOFTWARE FOR FIBRE-OPTIC NETWORK
NEW DELHI - India's largest private telecom company Bharti Airtel (BSE:532454) today selected leading software company Oracle Communication to optimise the use of its fibre-optic network in the country.
The software company would implement its network integrity solution for the telecom operator's 78,540 km long fibre-optic network.
FUJITSU, SIEMENS DISCUSS FATE OF EUROPEAN VENTURE
TOKYO - German electronics titan Siemens AG is reluctant to continue with its European computer joint venture with Fujitsu Ltd. (TSE:6702) and is likely to propose cutting its stake and other options during discussions launched with its partner.

PROFIT FOR SOUTH KOREA'S NHN UP 48 PCT ON HIGHER REVENUE
SEOUL - NHN Corp., (KSE:030200) the operator of South Korea's largest Internet portal Naver, said Thursday that its second-quarter earnings had jumped 48 per cent from a year ago on a rise in search revenue and online ads.
Net income came to 92.93 billion won (US$91.47 million) in the April-June period, compared with 62.7 billion won a year earlier, NHN said in a regulatory filing.
