A congressional challenger in West Virginia's 2nd District isgetting a boost from the second-highest ranking Democrat in theHouse of Representatives.
Majority Leader Steny Hoyer is scheduled to visit Martinsburg onMonday along with Anne Barth, the former aide to Sen. Robert C. Byrdwho's running against U.S. Rep. Shelley Moore Capito.
Barth and Hoyer will hold a round-table discussion at theShenandoah Hotel on the economy and infrastructure with EasternPanhandle officials from both major parties.
Hoyer, from neighboring Maryland, is next in line behind HouseSpeaker Nancy Pelosi for leadership of the Democrats in Congress'lower chamber.
