Vic; Grieving husband attacks govt on asbestos inaction
MELBOURNE, Jan 13 AAP - A tearful widower said today the federal government could have
prevented his wife's asbestos-related death because it knew the deadly substance was dangerous.
Eamonn (Eamonn) Mulhern (Mulhern) was speaking after Kerry Ann Halleur, 40, died in
Box Hill Hospital last night, just one day after winning a six-figure payout from the
government.
Ms Halleur, the mother of two young children, worked in a Commonwealth office building
that was allegedly riddled with asbestos, in 1980.
